How Start Change Works

Start Change seeks to tackle sources of inequality at the grassroots, regional and national level through the building networks of community leaders and Ambassadors; and supporting a series of Start Change programmes tailored to the needs of specific localities or communities.

This is delivered through our lived experience leadership teams that build capacity, coaching, and amplifying the voices of these communities to address the sources of the inequality which they face across the 9 core principle strands that Start Change service

By taking an inclusive, intersectional approach, Start Change seeks to enable work that will highlight and address these many racial and disabilities prejudices in all their forms and not just in forums where ‘racism, disabilities and marginalism’ is too often the topic of the day and not a real focus for long term noticeable change across and throughout the whole of the UK.
